Importing Contacts into a Kerio Public Contacts Folder
Kerio does not have the ability to do a direct import of contacts into a Contacts folder. It would be nice if there were an import tool that would allow to you to import a text file or vcards, but currently that is not available.
The best way to get a large number of contacts into a Kerio Contacts folder is to use an existing user's account and use Address Book, Outlook or Entourage to sync the contacts to the server and then move the contacts to the appropriate Contacts folder on Kerio.

For these instructions we are going to be using Address Book (AB) to "import" a contact into a "Clients" Contacts folder located in the Public folders on Kerio. We are also going to add the contact to a "Preferred" group in Address Book. The contact is currently in a vCard file on the desktop.

Step 1) Import the vCard into AB by dragging the card on the AB window. The card should show up in the list of contacts.

Depending on how your Kerio Sync Connector settings are configured the change may sync automatically to Kerio or you may have to launch System Preferences and click the Synchronize Now button in the Kerio Sync Connector to sync the contact immediately. Step 2) Log into your Kerio Webmail account.
Step 3) In Kerio Webmail, click on your Contacts folder and you should see the new contact. ( In this case, Bob Jones )

Step 4) Click and drag the contact to the Public Contacts folder ( In this case "Clients" )

The contact is now in the public Contacts folder Clients. Next we will add a category to the Client in Webmail so that is shows up in its own group in Address Book. If you do not want the client in a group, you can skip to Step 7.
Step 5) In Webmail, double click on the clients name to open the Edit Client Dialog Box.
Step 6) Type in the name of the Category you want to add to the contact ( In this case "Preferred" ). Click the Save and Close button.

Step 7) To view your changes immediately in AB, click the "Synchronize Now" Button in the Kerio Sync Connector. Otherwise your changes will update during the next scheduled sync.
Once the sync is complete your contact will show up in your AB and be part of the group "Preferred".
