You would be right if you guessed the iPhone® was Apple’s best-selling product of all time.  But would you know what comes next?

Probably not!

It’s AirPods®, Apple’s hottest product, and one that rang the register 65 million times in 2019 alone.  If you consider there are 900 million members of Apple’s mobile product ecosystem, it starts to make a lot more sense.  Essentially, AirPods have gone viral.

And now comes AirPods Pro™, introduced last October.  Apple® says AirPods Pro takes the magic of the device “even further” with an updated design, noise cancellation technology and better sound.  And even with the beefy $249 price tag, Apple expects to sell 90 million of these bad boys in 2020.  Wow.

Yes, these are fantastic for music, but CranstonIT also knows that business gets done on the move.  AirPods Pro is now an even better tool for mobile professionals, with a new design offering more capabilities and three sizes of soft, flexible, silicone ear tips.

Long gone are those once iconic, one-size-fits-everyone, rock-hard white earbuds that never stayed in place.  The new ear tips make the AirPods Pro fit better — an Ear Tip Fit Test will tell you which of three sizes is right for you — and stay comfortably in your ears no matter how long those conference calls drone on.

But it’s the advanced technology surrounding the AirPods Pro that’s getting all the buzz — because it eliminates all the buzz.  Active Noise Cancellation, with its inward and outward-facing microphones, continually adapts to the geometry of your ear and the fit of the ear tip to block out the background din of ambient noise. The result is immersive sound, continually monitored and adjusted at 200 times per second, that blocks out the world and locks you in to your conferences, calls, podcasts and, oh yeah, music.

Alternatively, there is Transparency mode.  With a simple squeeze of the stem, Transparency reduces surrounding noise while still letting you converse, hear important announcements and generally stay aware of the environment around you.

It’s Apple’s H1 chip that powers AirPods Pro.  The chip employs 10 audio cores as part of a System in Package design that helps deliver maximum comfort, stability and user-friendly control of listening modes, volume, Siri® and more.

Additionally, the product is sweat and water-resistant (for non-water sports and exercise), but Apple cautions against charging a wet AirPods Pro.  And speaking of charging, the battery of the AirPods Pro provides up to 4.5 hours of listening time with a single charge.

AirPods Pro is shipped with a wireless charging case, three sizes of silicone ear tips and a Lightning® to USB-C cable.  The device can also be engraved.  That said, AirPods Pro is temporarily sold out — and, Apple reports, won’t again be available until early February.  Check with apple.com for more details on availability.
