The result is immersive sound, continually monitored and adjusted at 200 times per second, that blocks out the world and locks you in to your conferences, calls, podcasts and, oh yeah, music.
Alternatively, there is Transparency mode. With a simple squeeze of the stem, Transparency reduces surrounding noise while still letting you converse, hear important announcements and generally stay aware of the environment around you.
It’s Apple’s H1 chip that powers AirPods Pro. The chip employs 10 audio cores as part of a System in Package design that helps deliver maximum comfort, stability and user-friendly control of listening modes, volume, Siri® and more.
Additionally, the product is sweat and water-resistant (for non-water sports and exercise), but Apple cautions against charging a wet AirPods Pro. And speaking of charging, the battery of the AirPods Pro provides up to 4.5 hours of listening time with a single charge.
AirPods Pro is shipped with a wireless charging case, three sizes of silicone ear tips and a Lightning® to USB-C cable. The device can also be engraved. That said, AirPods Pro is temporarily sold out — and, Apple reports, won’t again be available until early February. Check with apple.com for more details on availability.
